Foundations, Basemats and Footings

SAFE is ideal for modeling foundations, basemats, and footings. Easily model soil supports and zero tension soil models with uplift analysis. The area assignment of soil supports is based on the subgrade modulus, and they automatically adjust whenever the mesh changes. Basemat foundation models can include pedestals, walls, columns, beams, and piles in addition to the foundation area.

Design Strips

Design strips are used to define how reinforcement requirements are to be calculated. SAFE can automatically define the strips for you, or you can define them yourself.

Post-Tensioning (P/T)

SAFE includes the ability to define post-tensioning in slabs, as banded or distributed tendons. An interactive tendon editor simplifies the task of laying out the tendon profiles. Tendon layouts can also be automated based on strip position and direction.

Deformed Geometry

Deformed geometry can be shown after running the analysis. Values are displayed instantaneously when hovering over the model. The deformed geometry can be displayed as filled or line contour plots.

SAP2000 offers a single user interface to perform modeling, analysis, design, and reporting. The customizable SAP2000 interface allows users to define window layouts and toolbar layouts.

Engineers have many options when it comes to mesh generation in SAP2000. Notable meshing features include the ability to merge independently defined meshes among frame, shell and solid objects, coordinate tessellation with object orientation, and observe material boundaries to establish effective aspect ratios.

CSixREVIT BI-DIRECTIONAL DATA TRANSFER PLUGIN FOR REVIT

CSiXRevit is a plugin for Autodesk® Revit® that enables bi-directional data transfer to CSI Software products: SAP2000® , ETABS® and SAFE®

Users have full control over what model data gets transferred and how that data gets mapped to equivalent objects in either software.

CSiXRevitTM requires its own license to run.

Structural modeling can be done in ETABS®, SAP2000® or SAFE® or in Revit® and then later be synched up.

Supported Workflows

CSiXRevit supports four (4) main workflows of data transfer with Revit:

Data Transfer

The user has full control over what model information will be transferred between CSI Software models and Revit models.

Intermediate Data Exchange

All CSI products use the same intermediate data exchange file (.exr) to control model data exchange.

Parametric Mapping

CSiXRevit will support both direct section mapping of standard steel sections and also parametric sections that have been defined in Revit.
